Jasmine- CTO (Chief Tasting Office)
Hello all you humans out there, my name is Jasmine. I am a Golden Chow mix, about 80% Golden Retriever, the rest Chow. I now have a pretty darn good life, nice room, a large pillow to lie on, good eats, and lots of “petting”.
My life now is a far cry from when I was born, and my first set of humans. I don’t even remember them, but they apparently were quite surprised at my arrival. Matter of fact, they didn’t like it at all, and took it all out on me. At about 4 weeks old, I was literally dumped at a pound. After a couple days, the wonderful folks at the Golden Retriever Rescue League picked me up and found just the right humans for me to live with.
Now my human family, which I have adopted, and I get along great. They think I am wonderful, and who can blame them, I am great. And, wow, talk about a kid in a candy store, here I am with humans that are into outdoors, healthy eating, and home made dog treats. Not to brag, but I am the Chief Testing Officer, and believe me, if I don’t like them, they get rejected. I have been called a “picky eater”, but I like to think of it as very discerning.
Hey, don’t forget to post a question for me. I’ll be happy to give it “pawsitive” attention, and a great answer. And also, please send in your dog’s information, and especially a picture, for the “Featured Dog”. I want to build my social community, and maybe get to know your doggies.
Mike – CPO (Chief Petting Officer)
Penny was my first dog, a pure Cocker Spaniel. I got her as a present when I was 10. Since, I have had quite a variety of dogs from a pure sit-on-the-Budweiser-fire truck-seat Dalmatian to a 115 pound Golden Retriever who could not get it through his head that he was not a lap dog. I began my career in Information Technology at IBM some 30 years ago. Although I am still in the IT field, my work is such that I can work in my home office where my desk is along side of Jasmine’s three foot square pillow. Our current dog is Jasmine that came by way of the Golden Retriever Rescue League. I believe in and support the dog Rescue Leagues, as well as the Spay Neuter programs. Over the years, I have collected quite a number of stories, tricks, tips, and other such stuff that we’ll be sharing with you. Enjoy!
Debbie – CFO (Chief Feeding Officer)
You can probably tell by my title that I am the “mommy” here! My journey to dogs and to Waggin’ Delights has been a winding one. I never had dogs growing up like Mike did, as I was allergic to anything with fur, so I raised fish and some other “furless” things. When I had my first daughter, who is now grown, I quit corporate America to be a stay at home mom. Many thought I was nuts, but it was GREAT! I made baby food, crayons, soap, nursed, used cloth diapers, gardened and just really loved being an “earth mom”. Two other daughters followed and we continued down this path. I really, truly just loved being “mommy.” Well, as kids do, they grew up, I went back to corporate America, found myself in a second marriage to a wonderful man with two wonderful dogs… and so my dog journey began! Max and Jessie have sinced passed and we have adopted Jasmine and in true “momminess” I have enjoyed nurturing her, making treats for her, taking her to doggie kindergarten (where of course we chatted on nutrition and respected our puppies!) and I have come full circle! My hope is that my holistic approach to dogs, people and the planet will be evident here and you will enjoy visiting the site to laugh and learn with me as I continue to learn and grow.
